Toddlers require oppourtunities to explore new objects, practice familiar skills and conquer new challenges. Through active play and hands-on learning in their environment, toddlers can experience discovery and cement their large motor skills, ultimately gaining a sense of achievment. Additionally, the toddler years are a crucial period for language development, as toddlers repeat words they hear and begin to use phrases to express their opinions. As toddlers explore and play with others, they begin to build friendships, allowing them to practice getting along with others and developing social skills.
Our toddler room will be designed to allow children to safely explore and learn new skills through hands-on experiences. Teachers will prioritize language development by regularly reading, singing and talking to children while they play with interesting materials. Classrooms will have a structured routine to help toddlers know what to expect throughout the day while teachers create a caring, safe and nuturing environment.
